Gift Card Terms

Using Aston Lucas Gourmet gift cards

Aston Lucas Gourmet gift cards may be used to purchase eligible products through the Website, subject to any restrictions shown on the gift card or at checkout. Gift cards cannot be used through Cookaborough or the Msales wholesale app unless we expressly say otherwise.

Validity and expiry

Gift cards purchased on or after 1 November 2019 will be valid for at least three years from the date they are supplied or purchased, unless an exemption under applicable law applies. The expiry date or validity period will be clearly shown on the gift card or in the delivery email.

No post-purchase fees

We will not charge activation, account-keeping, balance-inquiry or other post-purchase fees that reduce the value of a gift card, except for any charge permitted by law, such as a fee for replacing a lost or damaged card where applicable.

Redemption

Gift cards may be redeemed in whole or in part. If the purchase value is less than the gift card balance, the remaining balance will stay available for future eligible purchases until expiry.

Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law and cannot be used to purchase another gift card. Any delivery charge or other checkout charge must be paid using an accepted payment method or the gift card balance if the Website permits it.

Refunds and returns

If a purchase paid with a gift card is eligible for a refund, we may return the relevant amount to the gift card or issue another lawful remedy. Our Returns & Refunds Policy and the Australian Consumer Law apply.

Lost, stolen or unauthorised use

Treat gift cards like cash. We are not responsible for loss, theft or unauthorised use after a gift card has been delivered to the recipient, except where required by law. Contact us promptly if you believe a gift card has been used without authorisation.

Promotional vouchers

Free or promotional vouchers may have different expiry dates, eligibility requirements and restrictions. Those conditions will be shown with the offer and will apply in addition to these terms.

Changes and cancellation

We may cancel or refuse to honour a gift card where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or unlawful activity. We will not use this clause to remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
